Easy Mousse Brownie Dessert

I found these Mousse Brownies on Pinterest the other night and I had to try them, originally the person who made these mousse brownies used mint chocolate because it was close to Christmas time. I decided to use regular chocolate  in the mousse brownies instead of mint just because that’s what I had on hand. While making it I had a few hiccups here and there which ultimately made me start over, but once I got it right it actually turned out pretty decent.  This recipe is actually easy, you get to cheat by making boxed brownies and the mousse is made in a matter of minutes. NOTE: If you can, use a spring form pan a regular pan will do but

Box Betty Crocker Ingredients (same as back of box)
Box Betty Crocker Original Supreme brownie mix (with chocolate syrup pouch)
     1/3 c. water
     1/3 c. vegetable oil
     2 eggs

Mousse Ingredients
3/4 c. whipping cream
1 c. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
3 eggs
1/3 c. sugar
Topping: 1/3 c. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of a10-inch spring-form pan with oil. Make brownie mix as directed on box (don’t put it into the oven yet)

Mousse Instructions

Heat whipping cream and 1 Cup Semi-Sweet chocolate chips over medium heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Cool slightly.

Now take another bowl and beat 3 eggs and sugar with electric mixer until foamy (good luck doing this by hand); Now that the chocolate mixture is cool stir it into chocolate mixture. Pour the chocolate mixture evenly over brownie batter in pan.

Bake for about 1 hour and 5 minutes or until the top is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour.Refrigerate until chilled.
Enjoy eating your Mousse Brownies made like a boss.
